Welcome to the

REMOUNT DEPOT

I launched this site late in 2007 as more of a 'Diary' of thoughts and what I am doing rather than a professional advertising website. My skills are in creating historic equestrian images and not computer skills.

Re-enactment has evolved over many years as fun for the participants, and hopefully educational and entertaining for the public who pay to watch history re-enacted. However, we do not consider ourselves as re-enactors, rather, we are horsemen with an intense interest in history. There can be few events in history, military, agricultural, industrial, social or sporting, where horses have not played a major part, but because of the expense incurred, they are usually under represented at re-enactment events. It is our aim to try to rectify this and it is our horses which we try to show off, not our riders. To quote the last line from 'The Horse' by Ronald Duncan,

"We are his heirs, he our inheritance".

You will see the pages which I have opened, these are likely to change regularly thus if this site has whetted your interest then please re-visit me soon, and feel free to add some comment in the Guest Book.

November 2008 and I have just renewed my subscription to this site. I find that many of the photographs which I published no longer appear. Please bear with me, I shall try to sort it out.
